Thanksgiving dinner on the hoof
We have a pair of wild turkeys in the neighborhood that hardly merit the term "wild".

Here they are, strolling casually across the street in front of my Jeep. While I think the tom is actually a wild turkey, we think the hen is an escapee from a local school's "summer project".

Some of the neighbors have been putting out corn for them, which is totally eradicating any fear they once had of humans. The b/f is making plans to secure our Thanksgiving dinner; these plans seem to require purchasing an anvil from Acme, stringing lines and pulleys through the neighborhood, and maybe using one of our trees for a catapult. I haven't been paying a lot of attention to the details.

Hi Carol,
just wanted to say that I tried your bottle sock pattern and it worked perfectly. I am very new to knitting with DPNs - your instructions are very clear and easy to follow.
Thanks so much!
Cecile
